Who we are

Honey on our Tongues is a Folk/Americana duo making heartfelt music in their little neck of the woods in Eugene, OR.

Originally shaped by the Wasatch mountains of Utah that grace the cover of Honey on Our Tongues’ first album The Mountain Above Us, Jeremiah Cullen plays guitar, banjo, harmonica and mandolin and has been writing songs for over a decade.

Raised by the oceans of California, Mara Cook grew up immersed in all kinds of music including classic celtic fiddle and songwriting on guitar.

Their songs weave intimate vocal harmonies into lyrical themes that reach toward the spiritual, heartfelt, and profound.  As Greg Jones with Ear to the Ground Music writes, “This is for people who crave authentic mountain music with [...] old time instruments, and voices that sound as old as the mountains themselves. [...] this sounds like home.”

  • Songs such as ‘Goddess In Disguise’ inhale the same air as that breathed by the likes of Pharis and Jason Romero while ‘Sulfur & Gold’ will surely be appreciated by any fans of Gillian Welch.
